At ChinaFriends our goal is to engage students in actively learning the language and culture
of China using age-appropriate topics relevant to their daily life. Practical communication skills are our priority.
Our curriculum uses a pragmatic, spiral-up learning approach to optimize retention and develop all communication skills: listening,
speaking, reading and writing Chinese. We teach Mandarin Chinese to all ages from tots to adults, and welcome all levels,
from beginners up to Advanced Placement (AP) readiness-level fluency. Our students and families come from all over Chicagoland, from very
diverse backgrounds, and with a wide range of reasons for learning Chinese. Our shared enthusiasm for Chinese language
and culture brings us together. We welcome you to join us!
On Sunday February 10th 2013 over 250 people from
ChinaFriends and The Lycee Francais gathered for games, crafts, a traditional lion dance, excellent food and some wonderful
